Alfred Moletsane

Executive Director & COO

Introducing Alfred Moletesane, our Executive Director & COO, a dedicated advocate for rural development and community empowerment. As Chief of his hometown, Alfred focuses on uplifting three key groups: agricultural practitioners, artisans producing a variety of goods from aloe, and manufacturers of essential health products.

Born and raised in the rural landscapes of Eastern Free State, Alfred’s journey towards community empowerment began with his education. He completed his Matric at St Johns College in Mtata before pursuing a B.Pharm degree at the University of the Western Cape in Cape Town from 1987 to 1990.

Following his academic pursuits, Alfred gained valuable experience in the pharmaceutical field, working in a private practice at QwaQwa Pharmacy for 2.5 years from 1991 to 1992. In April 1993, he took a bold step in entrepreneurship by establishing Engcobo Pharmacy in Engcobo, where the need for pharmacy services was unmet. Over the past 31 years, Alfred has remained committed to providing essential healthcare services to his community, leaving an indelible mark on the region’s well-being.

Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavors, Alfred is actively involved in addressing the pressing issue of youth unemployment. He is currently spearheading the establishment of a Skills Development Academy aimed at equipping young people with the knowledge and resources to start their own businesses. By nurturing entrepreneurial spirit and fostering job creation, Alfred is contributing to the economic resilience of communities where job opportunities are scarce.

With his unwavering dedication to rural development and community empowerment, Alfred Moletesane embodies a beacon of hope for the future of South Africa’s underserved regions.
